ICA: the vision of the first woman at the top of the building
Guadalupe Phillips, a lawyer for 45 years with great career, is reaching the top of one of the sectors that registered lower female labour participation (about 5%).
It is known that it has led the Finance Division of Cablevision and the Vice President of Grupo Televisa, as well as the finances of Evercore Casa de Bolsa, at the beginning of his career.
He is currently facing the most severe crisis which was the largest construction company in the country, which recently in March gave a new breath.
Guadalupe Phillips had the opportunity to comment on its recent entry into the signature: "I've never felt at a disadvantage by working in a context where the majority are men. "I think that women bring to the business world a capacity of empathy that most men do not have".
She has won time and improved its position to negotiate terms and other agreements with international creditors, in the midst of the substantial debt of ICA. This happens while occur rumors from falling into insolvency that surround to the firm or financial restructuring and its alliance with Cicsa to build part of the airport.
Great challenges and a complicated time are the conditions faced by the young lawyer to take control and redefine the course of one of the great reference of construction in Latin America.
