The proposal of Sordo Madaleno which inpirará Guadalajara

Torre Americas 1500: the proposal of outdated elements that has transformed the landscape of the city.

The Tower, located on Avenida Americas, has been composed of 4 superimposed geometric volumes; two of them with movement of gap but aligned in its rear facade. It has 57,970 square meters of construction and is distinguished by its 28 floors and its great capacity for quota, since it includes a basement of 7 levels. Since the last of the 2016 has offices and a hotel.

Mention that it is one of the most important mixed architectural projects of the city and the first of its kind – in the western part of Mexico-, it is certified LEED.

The Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos firm was responsible for its design, while the concrete structure was built by Anteus Constructora, in an area of 4,116 metres square.

The mentioned office of architects designed the tower structure considering various external factors, for example how to decrease or soften the intensity of sunlight or radiation, same that solved with its facade 'double skin'; the Interior is covered with double glazing (of high sun protection) and above, with a layer of aluminum dividers deep – a kind of muro-cortina-, which will result in the necessary shadows due to its angle of inclination.

According to the firm, design in general responds to the nature of the mixed uses properly property. While on your web site to share: "these gestures of displacement are designed to break the robustness and show an elegant movement".

There is no doubt that the urban landscape of a great metropolis always will be enriched with architectural proposals that are committed by modernity, functionality, and of course, creativity. In this case, it was the turn of Guadalajara.
